Southland boys win in double OT

ADAMS — Southland senior Jake Frodl poured in a career-high 23 points as he led the Southland boys basketball team to a 64-62 double overtime win over Caledonia (14-8 overall, 10-7 Three Rivers) in Adams Tuesday.
Frodl, who also grabbed 12 rebounds, hit a jump shot with 10 seconds left in regulation to force the first overtime and he hit one of two free throws with two seconds left to force the second overtime.
“Jake had a very nice night for us,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said. “The kids played hard and it was a great atmosphere. It’s what high school basketball is all about.”
