The Packers advanced five athletes to the Class ‘A’ state boys swimming and diving meet at the Section 1A meet in Inver Grove Heights Saturday.

Austin junior Nick Brehmer clinched his second straight trip to state in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles, senior Caleb Bentley earned his first career trip to state in diving, and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Craig Heimark, Ian Christopherson, Carson Hackel and Brehmer will also be swimming at state.

Brehmer finished third in 100- and 200-freestyle, Bentley took fourth in diving and the 400-freestyle relay team took fifth.
