MABEL — The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team closed its regular season with a 57-25 win over Mabel-Canton (5-19 overall, 4-14 SEC) on the road Friday.

Ann Rysavy had 19 points and nine rebounds and Courtney Walter scored 17 points for the Athletics (16-7 overall, 14-4 SEC).

“We came out hot and really put them away early,” LP head coach Brad Walter said.

The Athletics, who finished the season in second place in the SEC West Division, will open the Section 1A West Division playoffs as a No. 4 seed and they will host No. 5 Cleveland in Lyle Friday at 7 p.m.
