Anita M. DeBoer, 47, of Lyle, Minn., died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at her home in Lyle.
Anita Marie Hoffman was born June 18, 1964, in Osage, Iowa, to Dean and Helen (Hoff) Hoffman. She attended school in St. Ansgar, Iowa, and lived on the family farm in Mitchell County. Anita then married Wayne DeBoer; they later divorced. She was employed by Malt-O-Meal for 11 years. Her free time was spent going to many movies and concerts, and she enjoyed playing pool. She also enjoyed attending her daughter Jasmine’s school activities and her son Dean’s sports and athletic events. Anita loved watching and spending time with her granddaughter, Briella.
Survivors include her children, Dean (Brooke) DeBoer and Jasmine Christiansen, both of Lyle; granddaughter, Briella DeBoer of Lyle; parents, Dean and Helen Hoffman of St. Ansgar; brothers, Randy (Kari) and family, Dale (Lynda Kisner) and family, Jody (Jane); nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Arland Hoff and Ida and Bill Hoffman.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service that day.
