Pacelli High School sophomore Annie Holtz is the winner of this year’s Diocesan Rosary Essay Contest. The Diocese of Winona’s Office of Catholic Schools and Office of Faith Formation recently announced Holtz has been named the winner of the contest’s ninth-12th grade division. Annie is the daughter of Drs. Scott and Carol Holtz of Austin.

Annie’s essay was selected from submitted essays from all Catholic high schools in the Diocese, which encompasses the 20 southernmost counties of Minnesota. Holtz’s honors will be awarded at a special assembly at 10 a.m. March 6 in St. Augustine Church. The public is invited.

The Pacelli community is pleased and proud of Holtz’s accomplishment. Holtz is an honor student who also participates in Choir, Volleyball, and Girl’s Basketball.
