The VFW Post 1216 Auxiliary is accepting applications for the Minnesota Soldier Scholarship and Marcella Arnold Nursing Scholarship programs.

The Minnesota Soldier Scholarship Program provides money to a veteran that has served at least 180 days in active duty military service. The veteran can be someone who has never attended college or vocational school or someone who is in need of a new skill to stay competitive in the job market.

The Marcella Arnold Nursing Scholarship provides money for tuition, books, laboratory and similar fees for full time students that are in an associate degree or baccalaureate degree school of nursing, or prior to the start of an LPN program. The applicant must be eligible to join the Veterans of Foreign Wars or Ladies Auxiliary.
