ADAMS — The Southland girls basketball team put itself right in the chase for the Three Rivers Conference title when it beat Dover-Eyota (17-4 overall, 13-2 Three Rivers) 80-64 in Adams Friday.

Southland junior Haley Kirkpatrick poured in 26 points to led the Rebels (13-2 overall, 9-2 Three Rivers) in the win.

“They were in a zone and Haley’s got a nice little ten-foot jump shot that she was knocking down,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said. “She was also crashing the boards and getting us second chance points.”
