The Riverland women’s basketball team picked up a much-needed conference win when it beat Ridgewater 80-63 on the road Saturday.

The Blue Devils (10-9 overall, 1-3 MCAC South) jumped out to an 18-3 lead.

“It was definitely a must win game if we want to be in the hunt for anything,” Austin head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “Everyone played pretty well.”

Austin grad Rebekah Aase finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, Brittany Murphy had six assists and Sophia Hebrink had five assists.
