Riverland women miss 18 free throws in loss to Central Lakes

The Riverland women’s basketball team struggled at the free throw line as it lost at Central Lakes 58-53 Saturday.

The Blue Devils (9-8 overall, 0-2 MAC South) shot just 28 percent from the line as they missed 18 free throws.

“We couldn’t buy a free throw in the second half,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “You miss 18 free throws on the road and it’s going to be hard to win.”

Austin grad Robin Arjes led the Blue Devils with 15 points and Rebekah Aase added 12 points.
