The Southland boys basketball team beat Chatfield (5-9 overall, 4-6 Three Rivers) 71-56 in Adams Tuesday.

The Rebels (9-5 overall, 6-4 Three Rivers) led by as many as 20 in the first half and Chatfield got as close as 12 in the second half.

“We played great in the first 12 minutes and we were firing on all cylinders,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said. “Then we kind of went into cruise control.”
