The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team won its fourth straight game as it bounced back from a little adversity in a 56-43 win at Alden-Conger (4-5 overall) Thursday.
The Athletics (5-3 overall) led by as many as 12 in the first half, but they found themselves down by one early in the first half. That’s when Abby Leif made her only points of the night count when she knocked down a jump shot from the wing to give LP a lead it wouldn’t let slip away.
“The kids lost their composure late in the first half, but when Abby hit that shot we didn’t look back,” LP head coach Brad Walter said. “Sarah Holtz and Maggie Lewison also grabbed some key rebounds down the stretch.”
Ann Rysavy had 23 points and 11 rebounds for LP and Courtney Walter scored 20 points.
LP 26 30 — 56
