Area residents are making a habit out of winning $5,000.

Frances Lindstrom of Austin won $5,000 by playing the Minnesota State Lottery’s $100,000 Taxes Paid scratch game. Lindstrom, who purchased her ticket at Hy-Vee Gas and claimed her prize on Jan. 12, is the second Mower County resident to snag $5,000 from the scratch game.

Steven Iverson of Grand Meadow, who purchased his ticket at Glynn’s Motor Mart in Grand Meadow, claimed his $5,000 on Dec. 30, 2011.
