Hockey: Packer boys fall in OT

The Packer boys hockey team lost 4-3 in overtime at Dodge County (2-13 overall) Saturday.

Stefan Rechtzigel gave the Wildcats the win when he scored his team’s third powerplay goal of the night early in overtime.

The Packers and Wildcats went scoreless for the first 34 minutes but the teams combined for six goals in a wild third period.

Ethan Larson gave the Packers (3-15 overall) a 3-2 lead with a powerplay goal with 2:28 left in the game but Spencer Senn tied the game up with a powerplay goal just 33 seconds later.

Rainer Londino-Green had 37 saves for Austin.
