Two people — not wearing seat belts — were injured Sunday evening when a sport-utility-vehicle ran off Interstate 35 and rolled.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Felipe Silvestre, 39, of Minneapolis was headed southbound on Interstate 35 in a 2002 GMC Sierra at about 7:45 p.m. three miles north of Hope when the vehicle lost traction and ran off the roadway, rolled several times, then landed on its wheels.
The report states Silvestre suffered a minor injury and his passenger, Gilberto Sanchez, 28, of Minneapolis, suffered an injury that was not life-threatening. Sanchez was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna.
The Steele County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol.
