Tartan skates to tie — again

The Tartan Titans are having a hard time getting over that hump.
For the fifth time this season the Titans skated to a tie, this time with the Minneapolis Novas during the second day of the Steve’s Pizza/Austin Merchants Hot Shots Hockey Tournament at Riverside Arena.
This time the Titans (3-7-5) had to come from behind to just avoid losing their eighth game this year.

The Novas (6-5-2) took a 2-0 lead halfway into the third period before Tartan bounced back.
Minneapolis’ Izzy Brinker scored at the 12:51 mark in the second and Sadie Baker added to the lead at 14:35 of the third period.
However, Tartan bounced back and at the 7:41 mark, Ellie Tabaka got the Titans on the board to cut the Novas’ lead to 2-1.
Cecilia Glass knotted the game at 3:43 on a power play to secure the 2-2 tie.
