The Riverland women’s basketball team won 68-63 at Itasca Friday and lost 72-44 at Northland Saturday.

The Blue Devils (8-3 overall) trailed Itasca 27-25 at the half, but were given a boost by Austin grads Robin Arjes, who scored 11 points, and Sophia Hebrink, who scored nine.

RCC, which will play at NIACC Wednesday, struggled with turnovers in the loss to Northland.

“We started pretty strong against Northland, but we had a lot of bad turnovers that weren’t forced,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “The NIACC game will be a good test to see how much we can improve.”
