Police Chief Brian Krueger wants citizens to remember to lock their cars during the holiday season.

Krueger said there was a report Thursday night of juveniles prowling cars. Witnesses saw them rummage through four or five cars before chasing them away, Krueger said.

Although nothing was taken, Krueger said it’s a good reminder to keep holiday gifts in the trunk where they cannot be seen and to lock car doors.

“Secure and lock your doors,” Krueger said. “What should be a happy and joyous time for all unfortunately is an opportunity for some.”
