The Austin Packer dance team opened its season on a strong note as it finished second out of nine Class ‘AA’ teams and first out of six Class ‘AA’ teams at the Apple Valley Dance Invite Saturday.

“For the first time ever, we were able to compete in both kick and jazz at one of the earliest competitions of the season,” Austin head coach Jen Sims said. “We have a strong, hard working team and we’ll have to do just that to compete with the best teams in the coming weeks.”
