The Mower County Humane Society would like to publicly thank everyone who helped make the Night of Comedy on Nov. 23 at the Paramount Theatre a huge success.

Thank you comedian Scott Oelkers for recruiting the talents of comedians Jeff Larson, Mark Liedel, Simon Zais, Karolis Dzeja, Jeff Polis, Lindsay Hensel and Goobs. Thanks also to Bill McLain and the Austin Jaycees for serving refreshments, KAAL TV for the help in advertising, the Austin Daily Herald for the great news article, and of course, the Paramount Theatre personnel who are a great group to work with!

With the public’s support of this fun-filled event, the Mower County Humane Society cleared almost $1,000 to help in our rescue of abandoned pets in our area! We hope to see you at our Feb. 19, 2012, pasta dinner/silent auction at Austin’s Holiday Inn.
