The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team beat New Richland-H-E-G 62-52 in BP Tuesday.

The Awesome Blossoms led by 15, but the Panthers (1-6 overall) pulled to within one late in the game. BP’s Michael Thomas, who finished with 22 points, scored 11 points in the last six minutes to put the game away.

Freshman center John Rumpza had 18 points and 13 rebounds and Luke Hueman had five points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals for BP (5-2 overall).
