Blizzard beat Bruins in shootout

The Austin Bruins lost to Alexandria in a shootout for the second time this season as the Blizzard prevailed 3-2 in Alexandria Friday.
Blizzard goalie Jacob Meyers stopped 38 shots on the night and he also stopped all three of Austin’s shooters in a shootout that the Blizzard (15-8-2 overall) won 3-0.
Alexandria forced overtime when Dylan Zink scored with nine seconds left in the third period to tie the game.
Tyler Bruggeman had 47 saves in the loss for Austin (14-9-3 overall).
