The Riverland men’s basketball team missed plenty of scoring chances, but it still ended up with a 76-64 win at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (4-2 overall) missed 21 free throws in the win.

“We did a nice job of breaking them down and getting to the rim, but we missed a number of lay-ups and a lot of free throws,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “We could’ve blown them out a lot earlier than we did.”

Jeff Clark Neal finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds for RCC and Zach Bunch added 13 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

The Blue Devils pressed for the entire night and it left them a little drained.

“We’ve got some tired guys right now, but I’m happy to be 4-2 and it’s good to get a road win right before the break,” Koenigs said.

RCC led 39-36 at the half.
