The Austin Fire Department is ready to recognize students for their attention to fire safety.

The fire department will award the winners of the Fourth Grade Junior Fire Safety Program for their creativity on fire prevention posters. Of 300 students who participated, two students each from Austin Catholic (ACES), Banfield, Neveln and Southgate will receive their awards at a party 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at McDonald’s on Oakland Avenue. The party is sponsored by the Austin Fire Department, McDonald’s, Target and Austin Fire & Safety.
