John Tribbett was granted admission to the bar of the State of Minnesota in a ceremony sponsored by the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Minnesota State Bar Association.

A 1986 graduate of Austin High School, Tribbet graduated from the University of Minnesota with a summa cum laude degree in Journalism and Southeast Asia Studies.

Tribbett earned a law degree in May by the Hamline University School of Law with certification in Advocacy and Problem-Solving from the Dispute Resolution Institute.

He also completed the Minnesota Justice Foundation Law School Public Service Program by volunteering five hundred hours as an intern.

He worked in human rights in Laos for the United Nations in the summer of 2009 and in the summer of 2010 he interned in the office of the Ramsey County Defense Attorney.

John is the son of Kenneth and Carmen Tribbett.
