The Packers saw their season come to an end as they lost by scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-11 at No. 5 seeded Rochester Mayo (14-10 overall) in the first round of the Section 1AAA volleyball tournament Wednesday.

The No. 12 seeded Packers (3-18 overall) struggled with serving in the loss.

“Our serving has been our downfall and it really kind of leaped up and bit us tonight,” Austin head coach Barry Brobeck said. “If we could’ve gotten our serves down we could’ve had a better game, because we did some things well.”

Brobeck said he was pleased with his squad’s efforts throughout the season.

“They never gave up and they just did the best they could do,” he said.
