Austin Area Commission for the Arts (AACA) was founded to renovate and restore the historic Paramount Theatre into a performance venue for Matchbox Children’s Theatre and a unique, nostalgic location for Austin and the surrounding area to experience the arts.

With the renovations complete, we have realized that we need to re-evaluate the organization as we look to the future and plan for expansion.

Through this planning process, the AACA Board of Directors has announced a new vision and mission. The AACA envisions a vibrant and successful community enriched by diverse arts, entertainment, and cultural activities. This vision will be accomplished through our mission to identify, engage and support the development and advancement of diverse arts, entertainment and cultural activities that benefit people in Austin and the surrounding area.

As our organization embarks on re-inventing ourselves, we would like to engage the community in helping us realize our new identity by participating in a competition to design an AACA logo.

The logo will be the basis for a re-designed website, and will appear in all our print and web materials.

Entries may be submitted electronically to info@paramounttheatre.org, via mail at 125 4th Ave NE, Austin, MN 55912, or they can be dropped off at the historic Paramount Theatre.

If submitting electronically, scanned copies of artwork or digital files should be in TIFF, GIF, or JPEG formats. Deadline for submission is Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The Austin community will get the opportunity to vote on their favorite design at our Christmas in the City event on Friday, Nov. 25.

The winner will be announced on Friday, Dec. 2. Winner will receive a lifetime ticket to events at the historic Paramount Theatre. Don’t forget, we also have our Austin’s Got Talent show this Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
