It wasn’t their best day on the lanes, but the Austin bowling team picked up two wins in Pine Island Saturday.
The Packers (10-1 overall), who remain in first place in the Southeast Minnesota Conference, beat Pine Island/Zumbrota/Mazepaa 819-714 and they topped Byron/Kasson/Mantorville 918-714.
“Difficult and changing, lane conditions made for an interesting day for the for us,” Austin head coach Jim Juenger said.
Austin missed 20 fill opportunities against PIZM, but recovered to miss just six against BKM. Lauren Schabert and Collin Bailey each went four-for-four on fills in the win over BKM.
