Packer girls tennis team tops Albert Lea

The Packers swept the singles matches as they beat Albert Lea 6-1 on the road Monday.

Two of the youngest players picked up wins for the Packers (2-4 overall, 2-3 Big Nine).

Austin freshman Alicia Sforza won the No. 1 singles match 6-4, 6-1 over senior Michelle Hartman and freshman Megan Fleiner won the No. 4 singles match 6-3, 6-3 over senior Karlee Anderson.

Austin’s No. 3 singles team of Emily Johannsen and Abbey Ball survived by winning a tie-breaker 7-3 in the third set.
