Packer girls pick up a Big Nine soccer win

The Austin girls soccer team picked up its first Big Nine win in two years when it topped Faribault (1-9 overall, 0-5 Big Nine) 3-2 on the road Thursday.
Austin (3-6 overall, 1-4 Big Nine) scored the first three goals of the match and it held on to get the win. Kaelyn Matthews scored the third and deciding goal for the Packers.
“The girls played really good,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “It was a great victory for us.”
Sophomores Tori Grev and Hannah Voogd scored Austin’s other goals.
