Max Brennan and Jennie Marx are the king and queen of green this year.

Brennan and Marx are the Pacelli Catholic Schools 2011 Homecoming King and Queen.

“It was really kind of awesome,” Brennan said. “We’re a pretty close class.”

Brennan and Marx hoped they would be on the Homecoming Court, but they weren’t expecting to be royalty. They said they would have been happy had any of the candidates won.

“I was a little nervous,” Marx said.

The king and queen will preside over the Homecoming Parade as well as the Lyle/Pacelli football game against Spring Grove, where Brennan will compete with his teammates against an undefeated team.

The memories they have of Pacelli will last, Marx said.

“I have so many memories of you guys,” Marx told her classmates in a pre-taped speech during the ceremony.
