Cotter downs Hayfield

The Hayfield football team struggled with turnovers in a 34-12 loss to Winona Cotter in Hayfield Friday.

The Vikings (0-4 overall, 0-4 HVL) threw two costly interceptions early in the game.

“We moved the ball up and down the field, but those two picks in the red zone hurt us,” Hayfield head coach Grant Klennert said.

Cotter (1-3 overall, 1-3 HVL) took a 20-0 lead to halftime.
