An Austin business owner suspects an employee of stealing a Freightliner semitruck and Great Dane semitrailer from him, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

Velimir Pejic, the owner of Clearway Transport, reported the theft around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Pejic told police he suspects a 26-year-old employee from Willoughby, Ohio. Pejic reportedly received tollway violations on the missing vehicle from the state of New York and believes the suspect may be to blame.

The semitruck is valued at $40,000 and the semitrailer is worth about $20,000, according to Krueger.

A notice has been sent to the Willoughby Police Department to be on alert for the vehicle and suspect, Krueger said.

The licence plate of the semitruck is PAK-4075 and the semitrailer is 1298-STH. If anyone sees either vehicle, they should notify local law enforcement.
