UW-Eau Claire women’s golfer and Austin grad Catherine Wagner has been named a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced recently.

Wagner was also selected as one of UW-Eau Clarie’s athletes of the week as she took home medalist honors, helping guide the Blugolds to a second place finish at the NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State University Mustang Invitational this weekend. She finished with 144 strokes for the tournament, an even score, and had 70 strokes on day two, the lowest single-day total of the weekend.
