Police: Burglary suspect may have fallen asleep

BRAINERD, Minn. (AP) — Brainerd police say a burglary suspect may have been sleeping on the job.
Officers got a call around 11 a.m. Wednesday about a burglary. The person who reported the crime told police a man was asleep or passed out in the home.
Police say a 29-year-old man was found asleep on the floor. Police allege he broke a window to get in the house and was trying to steal copper pipes.
The house is being renovated and no one was home.
KSAX-TV reports the man is in the Crow Wing County Jail awaiting charges.
