Winona sweeps Heat

The Hayfield Heat were held to eight hits in two games as they lost both games to the Winona Chiefs by scores of 4-3and 2-0 in a doubleheader at Hayfield Sunday.
The losses drop Hayfield (8-8 overall, 7-4 Twin Rivers) to second place in the Twin Rivers League and put the Chiefs in first place by themselves.
“We were missing a couple players from the middle of our order and it showed as our offense struggled,” Heat manager Kasey Krekling said.
Hayfield stranded 13 runners in the first game, which went nine innings.
