Interstate 90 open again after flash flood

Flash flooding caused the closure of Interstate 90 near 11th Drive NE and between exit 179 and 178. The road is now open again.
Law enforcement officials reported street flooding, including on Interstate 90 and along Oakland Place SE near Driesner Park.
The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the western part of Mower County and Dodge County until 5:20 Friday, the cause of flooding.
The storms produced winds in excess of 55 miles per hour and torrential downpours.
