Post 91 falls to Faribault; will open playoffs Tuesday

The Austin Post 91 Legion baseball team lost its regular season finale at Faribault 4-3 Saturday.
Austin (8-15 overall) will open its postseason at Owatonna Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Post 91 led Faribault 2-1 before allowing a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Faribault added a solo homer later in the game for an insurance run.
Austin split with Owatonna in the regular season. Luke Mallory picked up the regular season win againt Owatonna and he will get the ball again on Tuesday.
“We’re not playing our worst and I don’t think we’ve played our best yet,” Austn Post 91 coach Bob Stratton said. “We’ve got nowhere to go but up.”Austin pitching: Jordan Lysne (L), 4 2/3 IP, 2 H, 5 BB, 3 ER, 3 K; Marcus Stoulil, 1 1/3 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 K
