I encourage you to attend the “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, July 25 in the J.C. Hormel Nature Center’s Ruby Rupner Auditorium.

“Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” is an organization which supports local troops and their families. As our country continues fighting two wars, we ask more and more of our military. Some service people have been overseas three, four and even five times. This causes stress for both service members and their families.

The “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” program will help our community learn how to support our troops and their families in what can be very stressful times for them. These men and women give so much to protect us; we owe it to them to see to it that their families are safe and secure while they are away from home.

Please attend this meeting to support this worthy community effort. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided by Hy-Vee.
