Man sought in St. Paul hit-run fatal in custody

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The man suspected of driving the car that struck and killed a 78-year-old pedestrian has turned himself in to St. Paul police.

Police say the 21-year-old man was taken into custody without incident at police headquarters just after 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The suspect was to be booked into the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center. He has not been charged.

Police had been looking for the suspect since 78-year-old Roger Tetu was struck and killed crossing a street near his home Tuesday afternoon.

Officers found the car suspected in the hit-and-run shortly afterward in a nearby alley.
