Chamber to host ag appreciation cookout

The Chambers 25th annual Agriculture Appreciation Summer Cookout, featuring a Hormel Windsor chop dinner, ice cream and refreshments, is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, in the Plager Building at the Mower County Fairgrounds.
Ticket prices remain the same as last year, $9 in advance or $10 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the Chamber, 329 North Main, 8-5 Monday-Friday.
Proceeds from the event support a variety of committee activities, including sponsorship of the 4-H Ribbon Auction, Day on the Farm, and Mower County Dairy Association, Corn Growers and Pork Producer banquets.

Members of the Mower County Pork Producers help grill the pork chops, and Mower County Dairy Princesses serve ice cream. The event is organized through the Chamber’s Agribusiness Committee. Rich Fischer, C.O. Brown Agency, serves as committee chair
