Anne Ersland, 66

Anne Ersland, 66, of Lyle, Minn., died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Society in St. Ansgar, Iowa, after a long, courageous battle with cancer since 1986.
According to her wishes, Anne was cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Anne was born Nov. 9, 1944, in the state of New York, the daughter of Sidney and Hazel I. (Vogt) Robinson. She was a graduate of Mt. Sinai Nursing School in New York City. Anne worked as an oncology nurse at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, and at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. On Feb. 10, 1990, she married Donald Ersland in Renton, Wash.
Anne is survived by her husband, Donald Ersland of Lyle, Minn.; adopted daughter, Dena (Rick) Gold of Denver, Colo., and children, Jackie, Richard, and Patrick; cousins, Douglas Vogt of Seattle, Pat Beatty of Tucson, Ariz., and Bill Sandhowe of Phoenix, Ariz.
