ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A young St. Paul boy made a gruesome discovery Wednesday.

Police say a 3-year-old playing near his home found a burned body in an alley and alerted his parents, who called police.

Senior Cmdr. Bill Martinez said because of the condition of the body, investigators don’t know if the victim is male or female or how that person died.

Officers are processing the scene.
