Summer is still young, but the fair is just around the corner.

Ken Trom is set to update the county board about the Mower County Fair during Tuesday’s county board meeting, which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. in the county board room.

Another local summer past time could soon be moving forward, too. The county board is set to award a bid for work on the Shooting Star Trail from Adams to Rose Creek.

In other business, the board will also discuss two conditional use permits. One for a storage facility and another for a meteorological tower in Lodi Township.

The board will also appoint 3 commissioners to the proposed joint Mower/Dodge judicial ditch Board.
