A man was killed around midnight Thursday when his pickup rolled and burst into flames on County Road 4 near 520th Avenue.

Sheriff Terese Amazi said the identity of the man is still unknown but will likely be released sometime Thursday afternoon.

Amazi said the man was westbound on County Road 4 when his truck lost control and rolled. Jordan Lukes, 24, came upon the vehicle and called the police. When Mower County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, the truck was engulfed in flames. He was the only passenger

The man is suspected to be in his early 50s, Amazi said.
