FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — A 9-year-old Fergus Falls boy was in trouble Tuesday after he picked the wrong target for his pellet gun: the driver’s side window of a police squad car.
The unsuspecting officer was patrolling on Pebble Shores Lane when his window was shot out by a pellet. The officer was not injured, and he exited the car and found the boy and the pellet gun. He notified the boy’s parents of what had happened.
The police department will be seeking restitution for the window (about $100 to $200) and are seeking a juvenile petition of delinquency through Otter Tail County Human Services.
