Former Guns N’ Roses drummer, Steven Adler, along with his heavy-haired band, is coming to Austin on Thursday, June 2.

Adler’s Appetite, with Adler, Lonny Paul, Chip Z’Nuff, Michael Thomas and Patrick Stone, will hit Torge’s Live stage between 10 to 10:30 p.m. with its hard rock/heavy metal style. Along with lots of its own new material, Adler’s Appetite also cover Guns N’ Roses songs, particularly from the album “Appetite for Destruction,” hence Adler’s Appetite. The opening band should begin around 8:30 p.m., and there is no cover charge.

Torge’s Live Manager Jeremie Slagle caught the band with some luck, and squeezed into their tour schedule.

“It actually worked out for both of us,” Slagle said. “They happened to be passing through southern Minnesota, so we got them on a weeknight.”

The Adler’s Appetite 2011 tour schedule can be found at www.adlersappetiteonline.com. They’ve got plenty of stops in the Midwest, including another at Diamond Jo Casino in Clear Lake, Iowa on Aug. 13. Adler also has a book, “My Appetite for Destruction.”

“We’re very excited to bring a show like that to Austin,” Slagle said.
