Vikings shut down Blossoms

The Hayfield baseball team eventually found its bats in a 7-0 win over Blooming Prairie (6-11 overall) in Hayfield Monday.
The Vikings (11-7 overall) took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, but didn’t score again until they rattled off six hits in a five-run sixth inning to put the game away.
“We left a lot of guys on base and we just needed some breathing room,” Hayfield head coach Craig Selk said.
Hayfield senior Tyler Krekling picked up the shutout win by striking out 10.
