Geoff Smith and the IBI Data Relay for Life team

On May 6, the IBI Data Relay for Life team and the Holiday Inn Austin co-sponsored the second annual Black & White Ball.

This event raised $7,000 for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society — that’s $3,000 more than last year! We would like to thank the over 100 Mower County businesses and individuals that donated items for the silent auction, live auction and door prizes. Dave Thompson did a fantastic job as emcee and auctioneer and disc jockey Alan Reed helped make the night great fun! Kristin’s Massage provided massages during the evening with all proceeds donated to Relay for Life. Linda Baier, Relay for Life committee chair, was very helpful with the evening.

And, of course, the event itself would not have succeeded without the great people who attended. Their generosity was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who helped, donated and attended. We could not have done it without you. We can hardly wait for next year; hope to see you there on Friday, May 4, 2012!
