The Southland softball team swept Rushford/Peterson (2-6 overall) by scores of 15-0 in five innings and 19-9 in six innings Tuesday.

Haley Kirkpatrick and Whitney Bamrick each had four RBIs in the first game and Celina Yunker knocked in five runs in the nightcap.

Southland (7-6 overall, 6-3 Three Rivers) trailed early in the second game but Jana Schammel hit a three-run homer and Holly Goergen also launched a homerun in the win.

Brandi Schammel pitched both wins as she came in relief in the second game.
