The Southland softball team swept Fillmore Central (5-11 overall) by scores of 2-0 and 8-3 in Rose Creek Monday.

Senior pitcher Brandi Schammel had a solid performance on the mound for the Rebels (12-6 overall) as she allowed just 11 hits and three walks while striking out 15 in 14 innings of work.

Southland has now won seven games in a row.
